Kanton Gothic is a workhorse family heavily inspired by the work of Morris Fuller Benton. Although the family comes in several familiar weights with corresponding italics, Kanton Gothic transports a lot of character through its distinct shapes and the additional heavy poster cut.
Compared to its role models, Kanton Gothic has an overall friendlier appearance, higher contrast, more balanced proportions and eye-catching pointed endings. The sufficient selection of styles in combination with the large language support and extensive OpenType features make it an ideal choice for editorial and branding projects.
Use the heavy and thinner weights of Kanton Gothic in headlines, for citations and on big posters. The medium weights are suitable for body copy and will give a contemporary and warm touch to paragraphs. You can also nicely pair it with a serif typeface of your choice or do some fancy animations with the two axis variable font included in the family pack!
